I spent my 20s, 30s and 40s living in Montrose. I've watched it grow and evolve. We used to have festivals on Westheimer. They'd close off several miles of the street and they would showcase music, arts, culture and crafts. It was a great time to be a resident there if you were artistic, LGBTQ or just plain weird. It was our safe haven and our community members were tight knit and cared deeply for one another. <br> I've visited almost every business, lived in almost every apartment complex (even lived upstairs in Avant Garden). Been to every restaurant, every nightclub, every bar. That neighborhood is in my DNA. I moved out of Houston at the start of the pandemic. I miss it terribly. It's not what it used to be but I'm very happy that the local population is keeping the legacy going.

OMG - I lived at Numbers - 222 Westheimer for freaks...back in 1984.

Great neighborhood...a witness to my wild youth...Lucky to get out alive and now content as a boring homemaker..hahahaha....
