I don’t care what nobody says being in the food industry probably one of the hardest job in the world. The amount of energy you gotta have every day to show up and show out is underrated

Another very creative and successful chef who originally worked for James Kent. That man truly was a titan. Rest in peace.

Just ate here last night and the food was absolutely fantastic. Everything was great but Oxtail and Peri Peri Chicken were ridiculous. I've never had a more perfectly cooked piece of chicken. Service was great and India came out to greet us as well. An excellent experience.

Can I just say, seeing a young, black, British woman absolutely killing in NYC is just the absolute best. I've never met you, India, but London is so proud of you! What an amazing looking restaurant, food and clearly a loved and respectful management team. Thanks for the introduction Eater.

(Also what a loss James Kent is to our industry, just awful)

All you need to know is she brought out the green seasoning. And that that is the magic of all Caribbean cooking. And when I mean Caribbean, I mean the greater and lesser Antilles every single island has a variation of green seasoning. Some spicier than others. The Haitians , Jamaicans , Guyanese and the Trini's tend to keep it on the hot... The Spanish colonized Islands/ countries tend to keep it neutral on heat but still packed with flavor from the scallions, garlic, and cilantro.

I need to bookmark this place to visit this spring... That oxtail was looking 100% official.

No wonder why she took home the michelin young chef award. That was delightful, all of that food looked incredible. That kitchen is TINY tho. Man, they really packed em in like sardines in that place.

Love seeing the use of the brown sugar to brown the meet, instead of using premade browning! It makes a big difference.
