  I hate how they try to act like Starfire is the privileged one when she was literally sold into slavery by her own family where she was abused and r*ped for years. Meanwhile, Mandy is a super rich kid with a loving family, great friend, and freedom to do as she pleases where her biggest problems is taking a test. Yes Mandy, so oppressed. Mom could never understand what it is like to struggle.

  Claire didn&apos;t do anything wrong when she took that picture; she&apos;s allowed to take pictures with Superheroes/Celebrities, Mandy was just being an entitled brat

  So they’re telling me the most empathetic and understanding character, who has known Dick and Raven (both edgier characters) for 20 years, doesn’t know how to handle her angsty daughter. Night wing might be the father which makes it weird that he’s never tried giving advice to Mandy about disengaging from a parental figure when he did that himself. Even if he isn’t the dad, you would think the Titans would be more Involved. Starfire should be able to help her daughter in this regard as well, because she felt overshadowed by her sister for many years. Heck her sister is in the book and they couldn’t even properly bring in that potential bonding moment. Starfire was butchered as a mom. She would be a great mother who doesn’t feel disassociated like she does here. Her personality seems airheaded towards her daughter’s feelings even though starfire is one of the most perceptive characters. She talks in broken English even though she has been on earth speaking the language for at least 20 years. Idk they butchered starfire.

  I do love how all Mandy does throughout the book is bitch. Then at the end she is awarded for essentially throwing a temper tantrum against her aunt.
