The 2026 worldcup final was a masterclass in football: what to do and what not to do. Spain 🇪🇸 displayed every beautiful play with finess and class. They were relentless in the right way and never once lost composure. Argentina 🇦🇷, on the other hand showed what not to do in every possible way. How to not play. How to not respond. How to not accept defeat. Poor.

Sometimes, after a game, you can hear: "The opponent was easy", "they can't come to play", "it was not their best day", "they were not awake", and so on. When a good team doesn't show his best is because the opponent doesn't allow them. Everyone want to win, for sure. When a team doesn't show his level is not underperforming by will, it's because the opponent doesn't allow. That's it

Spain had to lear to play against referees after what happened in the WC of 2002.

Spain did the same thing in 2010. I don’t understand how Americans all of a sudden are experts in football. Argentina has always been the same also.

"I think Spain doesn't beat teams ..." what a dumb comment. It was down to possession, structure, formation, tactics, and technically gifted players. The Spanish are very intelligent people!

Spain indirectly takes control over what the other team does in the first 15 min. The rest of the match the other team is simply unable to play the way they want to play. They try, but it does not work. Their usual tactics feel slower and clunkier, and they are not sure why, or how to fix it. After a while they end up confused, constantly trying to catch up, just reacting to what Spain does. That is the magic of it. The style of the spanish team is not showy, it is quite unassuming. But they have figured out how to take absolute control over any match, by indirectly controlling what the other team does, nullifying their advantages. That is how they managed to make France look like amateurs.

De la Fuente and his team hard work and thorough study of the opponents made the difference.

On top of the system. Spain really do have man for man better footballers than everyone else. No weak links at All their players - Attackers, Midfield, Defenders, GK are all comfortable on the ball, can make good passes, can give good crosses, long balls ,Thru pass, Shoot accurately, Win headers etc.
Other teams have some players who literally cannot do some of the things imentioned. France had glaring weakness like Rabiot and Digne, Even Kone and Maignan aare weak links.
Just compare how Ezri Konsa cross vs Cubarsi. Cubarsi even takes good shots from distance which created Spains second goal vs Belgium

Masters of the ball, they simply negate the others teams by keeping possession and never losing balls in their own field, rivals spend the match waiting for a mistake... that doesn't happens.

Could you please explain this to the Argentina people that think that something strange happened because they didn't play as usual an they were not even able to get close the Spanish goalkeeper?

Argentina's big weakness against Spain was.....Messi. Yeah, you read that correct. Messi almost NEVER goes back to defend.
So the Argentinian defensive line would always be, at most, 9 players. After Enzo Martinez was shown the showers, that became a defensive line of 8 vs the full Spanish 10 (because Messi NEVER defends). That was too much and Spain found the hole.
