  Tyranid ruled 40K Galaxy?! A Galactic scale graveyard with the bulk of the nids moving on to the next galaxy and the remaining ones in the Milky Way going feral or killing each other off in a last deperate attempt at getting more biomass. The Milky Way mostly re-starts from microbial life and in a couple of billion years, new races emerge to assert their dominance of the Galaxy..before the Hive Mind is unwittingly alerted again and rolls back into town to start nom nom noming everything all over again..

  In Warhammer 40K the biggest food for the Tyranids are the Imperium with more than 1 Million planets and the Orks who know how many planets they have, The Taus are just a snack.

  Imagine being a Necron, waking up for the first time in 50 million years. You step out of your tomb complex and yawn, feeling the warm, friendly, rays of a star. It&apos;s a strange feeling, a unique feeling, but then you hear a vast rumbling which turns into the slavering of trillions of small teeth. You quail, not in fear for such emotions were lost to you in the bio-transference incepted by The Deceiver, but maybe the memory of fear. Out of the mass of insectoid creatures steps a massive, multi-limbed, creature. By the way the rest of the things draw back you know this is their leader. As it&apos;s mind probes yours you realise this is The Queen. Your necrodermis begins to secrete a cold, clammy, salt-like substance. Then the alien mind breaks contact with yours. &quot;Nah!&quot; it says &quot;I can&apos;t eat that! At least not without some sauce!&quot; As the creatures skitter away towards the horizon you decide to go back to sleep. It&apos;s been a long day and your undergarments require reconstitution.

  <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O1RL3eFnrio&amp;t=1440">24:00</a> there are books where the mechanicus had captured some bits of 2 tyrranid fleets for study, and they instinctively hated each other and would chew off their own limbs if it meant getting even a single blow against some part of the other fleets members, importantly ignoring anything else to get to them, they would ignore electrical charges that previously nullified them to push through and kill the other if you put them in adjacent cells, at first the imperial observers thought they were trying to join up together to form a larger force and break out, but they just murdered each other as brutally as possible with an anger they never show against any other enemy. <br><br>source: The Greater Good - Caiaphas Cain book 9

  The thought of the Tyranid Hive Mind devouring/recycling the soul as well as the body is genuinely disturbing beyond belief. Sounds like something out of Berserk.
