  Welcome to the Philippines.I am a Filipino Canadian based in Toronto.Enjoy your stay but just to remind you between June to December are rainy and stormy seasons in the Philippines. Other than that the Philippines is a nice place to live and the people are very friendly and the cost of living is cheap when you compare it to Canada especially in Toronto and Vancouver areas.Try visiting Iloilo City on the last week of this month January.The city celebrate yearly the famous Dinagyang festival , one of the most festive festival in the country. Iloilo city is consistently included as one of the most liveable city in the country.Mango rich and white beach Guimaras island is just 20 minutes away by boat.Famous Boracay island is about 4.5 hrs by car from the city.

  Good luck and God bless! I hope you guys have fun. Be open to new experiences especially those that take you out of your comfort zone. Filipinos hate “arrogant “ people, local and foreigner. Humility will take you farther in life in the Philippines. I hope you guys succeed!
