  I had a 1978 924S Porche with zero rust. Just galvanized panels. <br>My metallurgical professor had a 1967 Plymouth Valiant that when brand new, he attached a strip of zinc to every panel on the car. He said the only place he could not get internal access was on the trunk lid, and that was the only item that ever rusted.<br>Pipelines use a combination of cathodic protection (sacrificial anode like zinc) and a low induced current.

  Beware of greasing bolt threads, torque values changes.

  Sometimes i use grease, same grease i use on my excavator green one. I grease every moving part of my excavator, it prevents rust.

  This is not how the japanese or any car maker does rust proofing. &nbsp;The process is dipped zinc elecroplating.

  My mom put black undercoat underneath her car, worst decision we ever made. &nbsp; &nbsp;Ford dealership talked us into it.

  Being an engineer/spray painter the best rust preventive, which will stop it in its tracks is PENETROLE AS IT SEAPS INTO PLACES WATER 💦 CANT GO ITS REALLY GOOD IN BOX SECTIONS AND DOES NOT DRY UP LIKE FISH OIL DOES IT SETS HARD IN ALL THE JOINTS AND SEAMS AND STOPS WATER 💦 AND RUST FOREVER YOU BUY IT IN SPRAY CAN OR 4L TIN
