The first Sega Genesis game I owned. My uncle played in College Station 92 as the starting free safety and I had to have a Genesis to play as him 💯

This game introduced the new play call screen. It had the 2 point conversion which was not a rule in the nfl yet. This game felt way more different than Madden.

I played the tar out of this one. I was thrilled they included the '85 Tennessee "Sugar Vols" with the Orange Crush defense that frustrated Bo Jackson to the point he took himself out of the game and gave Vinny Testaverde a nightmare in New Orleans.
I do remember blocking FGs and EPs were fairly easy.

On the cards, the SNES Walsh/Maddens were on 1 poster-size sheet with tiny text.

This is the Madden 94 engine which was a major downgrade from the Madden 92-93 engine where you could, you know, run and throw the ball.

I have all 24 cards (they're double sided) - I can take a pic of each side and put it up on the internet archive since you mentioned having issues tracking them down.

I can't speak for others, but I could and still can run the sh*t out of the ball with Nebraska '83 using the wishbone / flexbone.

4:05 you call it Joe Walsh College Football and I laughed for 30 seconds. This was the game we played most as I am a diehard Clemson fan (and was 20 at the time) so playing with the 81 team was a dream.

Good video. I will say that while you compared Joe Walsh college football to Madden '93, to me it really looks and plays more like Sega Genesis version of Madden '94.
