I DIED AN ATHEIST: Johannes’ Descent Into Hell and Back

In this gripping episode of Heaven Encounters, Randy interviews Johannes Wolfaardt a man who lived a life of atheism, addiction, and abuse before a near-death experience brought him to the very gates of Hell. Johannes shares the harrowing details of standing in a "thick darkness" where love is nonexistent and fear is personified. He describes seeing the torment of those who held onto unforgiveness and witnessing his own life play back like a record. In his moment of greatest desperation, Johannes cried out the name of Jesus Christ—and the Savior reached into the darkness to pull him out. He endured unimaginable childhood abuse, survived two abortion attempts, became an atheist, fell into drug addiction, depression, and satanic rituals… and after 36 suicide attempts, he flatlined. Instead of the bright light so many describe, Johannes Wulfart found himself standing at the terrifying gates of hell — feeling pure fear, rejection, and pain. He saw people he knew being tormented. Then, in that final moment, he cried out the name of Jesus Christ three times… and Jesus pulled him out. This is more than a near-death experience (NDE). This is a raw, redemptive testimony of how Jesus rescues even from the very gates of hell. Beyond the survival story, Johannes discusses his radical transformation, including a miraculous physical healing from a broken back and his current mission to be a "voice for the voiceless" through his ministry. This is a powerful testimony of redemption, the necessity of self-forgiveness, and the life-changing power of God’s grace. this interview with Randy Kay: Childhood trauma & being a twice abortion survivor Life as an atheist, homeless, and deep in darkness The moment he stood at the gates of hell Seeing the nail-scarred hands of Jesus Complete healing — physical, emotional & spiritual How his life was transformed after the encounterConnect with Randy Kay: Website: https://randykay.org Resources & Books: https://randykay.org/books Johannes’ Book, Struggling Stains: https://ns-scribbles.myshopify.com/pr...
