  Good tips for beginners right there! One thing I would add for beginners though and that is that before you shoot, mark the spot where the animal is and don't put your gun down right after shot (assuming you use scope) but try to follow where the animal goes. If you see the animal drop you can also mark that spot. Of course if one wants to play realistic; then no marking.

  I would like to point out that there is something called Herd Management which you should take note of starting from the beginning of the game. &nbsp;Darwin&apos;s theory is in your hands. &nbsp;If you kill a lot of younger high genetics animals, many of the later animals that spawn can be crappy ratings with crappy Trophy Rating because you have killed a lot of the better animals that can pass down their good genetics. &nbsp;Yeah, the game is THAT IMMERSIVE. &nbsp;<br>Another thing note is that that animals will age and previous injuries from your previous shots will apply. &nbsp;If you shoot a young animal, only slightly wounding it but the animal survive, that shot info will be recorded and later when you kill it after it matures, that info will show. &nbsp;Yes, that&apos;s how they age. &nbsp;Only the player character is immortal.

  I was bored in this game a while back and shot a Moose a bunch of times with a 22-caliber trying to see if I could drop it. Needless to say, he lived and wandered off never to be seen again. Yesterday I was scoping out some small prey and was suddenly gored and trampled to death from behind by a bull Moose. &nbsp;I returned from the dead, found him, and harvested him. It was that same Moose I shot a bunch of times with the 22 that wandered off. Homeboy kept a grudge!

  I had this game played it twice and was overwhelmed just picked it back up 6 months later I’m so mad I missed out on 6 months of good gaming !! Patience is everything for this game it’s worth it

  My go to way to open new area is to follow rivers. That will give me the drinking zones and show what is where.

  for convenience longshots I agree, in real life probably the heart, you can&apos;t imagine suffering the suffocating breathlessness of being shot in the lung.
