Excellent advice. I often tell people the best way to learn is to pick one thing you want to know how to do and then just research and try until you are good at it. Then move on to the next thing.

I wonder what Rascal&apos;s potato budget is! The employee&apos;s at your local grocery store must see you coming in to buy a new potato and say &quot;Oh look Rascal&apos;s making another video&quot;. Haha, on a serious note I love your videos great work!

I started this video last night and I was like, dang this guy is good. Why doesnt he have more views?? Then I realized it had dropped like 2 hours ago. It was too late for me to finish the video so resumed this morning and forgot and was like dang this guy knows ball, why doesnt he have more views. Its because the video dropped 10 hours ago. Thanks for coming to my Ted talk.

See, I&apos;ve been stuck for almost an entire year of &quot;&quot;&quot;consistently&quot;&quot;&quot; trying to make small games, but I always had a scope-creep or overshooting problem were I&apos;d initially conceptualize a game I thought was &quot;small enough&quot; for a beginner to make, and in the end I&apos;d have designed complex features that I had no idea how to even begin with. The first and only time I managed to conceptualize, finish and publish a game EVER was when I joined my very first game jam, where I made Pond Pong for the Godot Wild Jam #95.<br>Game jams will force you to learn faster, to come up with quick solutions even if they&apos;re not the best approach, just so you can get the game done in time. The deadline also prevents you from just leaving it for later (since we all know its easier to play games than make them). If you&apos;re struggling, try a game jam! No one is going to break into your house and beat you if you can&apos;t get it done the first time or if the game turns out bad!
