For those thinking the overclock sounds dangerous and will kill you - add Biomonitor (automatically uses your health item when below 35% HP) and Blood Pump (Functions as a powerful health item) to your circulatory cyberware, put 4 points into Body to unlock the first tier, and put a perk point into Painkiller, Comeback Kid, and Dorph-Head. Congrats, you now have basically infinite health and thus infinite RAM 😅

Sonic Shock does NOT prevent tracing in the current version.

Equip the tetratronic rippler, Sonic shock + contagious + optics + incinerate. Congrats, you just create a bomb.

With Synapse burnout, you can basically achieve infinite overlock.

The combo is Sonic shock (T3) -> Short Circuit (T5/Iconic) -> Reboot Optics (T2 or Iconic) -> Synapse Burnout (T5/Iconic)

On very hard with overclock and the new bioconductor iconic, this will ALWAYS critical hit and will even one shot cyberpsychos. Not to mention that you will get back around 90% ram and the use of synapse burnout will extended your overlock, so if you keep attacking, your overlock will last until combat is over.

To top everything off, this combo is 100% UNTRACEABLE, so you can just crouch behind cover and just annihilate the entire enemy. its so good.

sonic shock is your go-to for preventing trace. if using a spread hack like contagion, sonic shock every potential enemy it can spread to first. if an enemy catches the contagion and wasn't first sonic shocked, definitely you'll get traced.

Overclock + Cyberware Malfunction + Short Circuit - The Iconic version of Cyberware Malfunction increases Short Circuit's damage by 25% per stack of Cyberware Malfunction it has. Load up a Cyberware Malfunction stack per section of a health bar the enemy has then end the chain with a Short Circuit. You can walk into a room full of dudes, lace them all up with this method, then drop out of scan and it's a light show of sparks and explosions as everyone just falls down around you. Never fade away chooms!

For Memory Wipe, you want to use Tier 4. It's only 10 cost, and works as like an invisibility mode against the targeted enemy. Tier 5 is 32 RAM, but the difference is that T5 will force ALL enemies to exit combat state. So if you run both, you can have T4 for sneaking around, and T5 as the 'oops I got caught' button to reset the situation.

Reboot Optics is insane for a ranged build. The extra headshot damage plus ram refund plus spread is pretty nuts.

For those of you wondering, sonic shock no longer prevents tracing. Technically it was never supposed to in the first place. No where in its description does it say that. Only memory wipe prevents the next hacks in queue to become untraceable. New player here and learned this the hard way.

My favorite quick hack is contagion and, if I'm feeling spicy, I like to add overheat.
