putting an old, fatigued, plastic gas tank directly above a hot battery seems like a poor choice to me.

Our 1949 8N sat unused for seventeen years, luckily it was always covered or in a shed. I rebuilt the engine and replace radiator and clutch in 2021-2022 and the engine runs great. I kept the electrical system 6volts. Still need to clean and update hydraulics and the brakes/axle seals and it could use two new rear tires.

One of the best aftermarket parts for an 8n is a stretchy cover for that pressed steel seat!! it's not that the huge spring that suspense the seat doesn't do its job but the bare metal does a job on YOUR seat after while... ask me all about it! Thanks for the video.<br>James in Toronto

I resurrected my fathers 1953 Harry Ferguson that is practically the same tractor. It had sat for 5 years in my field under a tarp and and rats jacked up the wiring. The gas had gummed up and she was pretty hard to get going. I only wish that I had videoed it all. It runs like it’s 20 years old again. I don’t baby it at all.

I have owned my grey Fergy for about 33 yrs and during that time it did sit for a while ( 8 years ) but is up and running again now , thanks for the video great fun and a good challenge .
