hillenburg may have turned down the pearl storyline cause mr krabs calls her "me own flesh and blood" and said pearl looks more like her mother claiming the mother is what genes the kid gets

Popsicle brand was founded in 1922 and it became so popular people just took it as the word for every frozen treat of the same type.

I’m pretty sure the ‘SpongeBob Christmas Photo’ is relating to the photo in ‘The Secret Box’, where Patrick opens the box he’s been hiding to reveal an embarrassing photo of SpongeBob at a Christmas party.

Just wanna say thank you because Spongebob is one of the things that helps me when I'm struggling with my mental health (anxiety, tourettes and depression take a toll on the brain), and the original ice berg video was great.

The feeling I get when consuming SpongeBob related content can only be described as warm and nostalgic.

Enjoy this a lot, glad to know there are others as passionate about the small intricacies of this show like me.

That logo at 15:02 terrified me as a child and I’d run away from the screen before it’d pop up and my brother would turn the tv up so I’d hear it

You could add another to this list as well. I know it sounds nuts… but there are actual drawings ON THE INTERNET that date around 1994 to 1995 of not particularly bob the sponge, but the EARLIEST known version of a modern Spongeboy/Spongebob drawn by Hillenburg himself supposedly when he was camping with his friends? This is when he first conceived the show. He was brainstorming ideas with them from what I remember, I saw them in an old article. They predate the famous spongeboy art, you can tall by the art style. These doodles are older than the one drawing everyone sites to be the first. Do a bit of digging and you WILL find these drawings.

Edit. The article is called “The Billion Dollar Sketchbook”. And showcases a page of doodles from the E A R L I E S T possible conceptual stages of SpongeBob.

7:16 Not only that but Jeff Bennett voiced half of the cast in Flapjack and in SpongeBob he plays several in two Season 9 episodes. (One episode has him voice Charlton Hawkfish, The Snorkel Vendor, and the latter having him voice a fancy fish, a fish in long pants, and an old fish.)

Fun fact: Popsicles are actually named as such because it’s the equivalent of calling a can of soda a Coke. People use it as a generic term but it originated from the brand.
