The guys panning for gold in the sewage were the most ridiculous thing I think I've ever seen. I can't imagine the desperation that led them to try that.

I will never say im poor again! Being from the UK, our government provides quite alot in comparison to the Bangladeshis Government. Its absolutely disgusting that keep all money, that's meant to provide for its communities. I wish these hard working people well.

This never ceases to amaze me: in the name of every religion, all of which preach that one should respect one's fellow human beings, pilgrims become ruthless and brutal towards other pilgrims in order to reach the pilgrimage site and pray there to demonstrate the purity of their souls to themselves and others.

I traveled around India by train in 1973-4. It was sometimes ridiculously crowded, but these Bangladeshi trains are on another level. Excellent doc.
