  I personally buy almost everything generic brand that I can and save almost $80 on my monthly grocery haul!

  I used to work for Millstone Coffee.<br>We put those same, expensive beans into store brand bags!<br>That&apos;s how store brands work...

  Some of those store brands are actually made by the famous brand. For example, those Walmart Chicken Nuggets are made by Tyson FOR Walmart. However, that doesn&apos;t mean they are exactly the same. Walmart might specify different spices or flavorings, and Tyson will give them exactly what they ordered. In general though, those store brands are pretty good, and the famous brands, even if slightly better, just aren&apos;t worth twice as much. You pay a lot for advertising and marketing.

  When my dad worked for Safeway, he told me that many of the canned goods were made by the name brands but labeled for Safeway. &nbsp; I also took Home Ed in my freshman year where the teacher removed labels. &nbsp;We would taste test several different brands, write down points for the different things like color, texture, etc. &nbsp;Not just taste. &nbsp;Then she would tell us the cost, then the actual brand. &nbsp;It was quite an eye opener. &nbsp;Big name names, big prices were often not the best choice.
