I remember we were watching the Oscars, and Lady Gaga was introduced to perform the medley from "The Sound of Music", and I clearly thought that she would want to make it "her own". However, once she began to sing, it was clearly a wonderful tribute to the iconic movie and score. When she got to "Climb Every Mountain", it brought goosebumps and tears in the very best way. When she finished singing, the audience erupted in the huge ovation, and then, the cherry on the very top, was Julie Andrews coming out on stage. Ten years have passed, and I have seen Academy Awards shows for over 6 decades, and that is the moment I thought was the most special of all time in an Oscar show.

Julie Andrews was a big part of my childhood. Between Sound of Music and Mary Poppins, I just thought she was magic. She still is! ❤

I met Julie Andrews in 1987 in St.Louis,MO.at the back entrance of the Fox Theater. I welcomed her to St.Louis, and I expressed to her that I thought she had guts and I like people who have guts, and I shook her hand while sharing this with her,and she smiled.Julie Andrews Is ONE Special Human Being.
