  I mean to be fair, yes, what Russell did over the past few years did bring heat onto himself. But one key factor is that Toto really looks at Antonelli like he&apos;s the next Verstappen (I would agree), and so Toto is investing heavily in Antonelli to ensure loyalty. He missed his chance with Verstappen and I would think Toto will do everything in his power for that to not happen again.

  George brought most of the public discourse around him onto himself imo, he basically claimed he would&apos;ve won 2024 in the McLaren and 2025 in the RedBull - just to struggle with putting a dominant car onto the podium even the following season.<br><br>No one would&apos;ve bat an eye otherwise, but if you try to insert yourself in discussions with Verstappen - be prepared for the onslaught if you don&apos;t perform remotely close to that level.

  I don&apos;t take anything Montoya say seriously after his &quot;You should suspend drivers for criticizing the sport&quot; nonsense. <br>Anyway I don&apos;t think Wolff is even the slightest surprised. He knew the trajectory of Antonelli and that he was the future of the team. That&apos;s why we saw that long, drawn-out hesitation of giving Russell his dream contract last year. It played out very publicly.

  There’s an uncomfortable level of incestuous relationships in the &nbsp;team management / driver management axis in F1 that should probably be looked at. If I were George, I would be uncomfortable if my manager was also my team principal. How do I know that one person is representing both what is best for me and what is best for the team?

  I don&apos;t remember who said it (an Argentinian journalist or writer) during the 2022 World Championship, but there are two types of champions. There are the favorites, who do the right thing, make few mistakes, and win the championship. And then there are those who aren&apos;t favorites or don&apos;t have the odds in their favor, but they seize the championship and, even though it should go to the favorite, they persist and manage to make it theirs. In motorsport, we find the same thing: two types of champions. Little by little, we&apos;re seeing who&apos;s who. Some see it sooner, others later…

  I don&apos;t dislike George, but what I don&apos;t like about him is when everything goes good for him, he takes full credit for his performance and is willing to shower other drivers with praise. When he struggles, he blames someone or something else.
