My favorite thing about Olaf is that he's a doer that refuses to overthink things.

How long before Olaf screams his lungs out while Fooster is doing his wheezy laugh in the background?

"Must first be stunned with traditional weapons before using combustion"
The moment I saw that I realised the dev played the old The Thing game

This is the first game i bought solely because i watched a youtuber play it. $10 is a steal for this game. It's insane how good UE5 looks and runs when it is ACTUALLY OPTIMIZED. AAA devs take notes.

to clarify if you all are wondering the flamethrower does not work on the ghost. according to guides and gameplay "the flamethrower does not deal effective damage to the frozen ghost (ID-007). using the flamethrower overrides the freeze mechanic, which is necessary to temporarily render the ghost into a physical form. The ghost is described as ethereal and mobile, and cannot be killed or manipulated effectively with flame-based attacks"

the electric gun mostly just stuns the ghost when it's in its physical form making it mostly an unnecessary item in solo

while the lazer gun can damage it a little it is mostly a side weapon as the most effective items to attack the ghost with would be
the freeze gun, shotguns, revolvers.
and high caliber or high damage guns that are class 2 or 1 work best for the ghost after getting the class 3 freeze gun.

Logic says that a critter that is vulnerable to freezing, would get defrosted by flamers... but hey 🤷‍♂️😂

Using a flamethrower against something that is only able to materialize due to the cold is something I'll never come to understand.
