  Hey guys. This is a reminder that on the YouTube phone app, you can pinch and zoom to enlarge parts of the video that you want close-ups of. You can also watch this video on a large television if you want clearer examples of what&apos;s going on. It is recorded in 1080p and a larger monitor makes it much easier to understand.<br><br>This video was not meant to be a standalone definitive guide with close-ups and B-roll, but as a way to educate people that refurbishing one of these cameras involves far more work than just stretching a drive-spring and calling it a day. This video should accompany a good PDF copy of the official repair manual so you can understand how the parts work.

  I&apos;ve had three SLR Polaroid cameras overhauled by TheInstantCameraGuy, and his work is excellent. Most important, he stands behind his products. I had one PCB blow up (a circuit board which is almost 50 years old so understandable) and with zero obligation beyond his word, he moved mountains to correct the problem, and I ended up with an even better restored camera. Huge amounts of pride, honesty and commitment to delivering a real practical solution. Top bloke. Will deal again, and would recommend in strongest terms.

  I managed to fix the broken coupler of my SX-70 thanks to this video by stretching the spring a little bit. Thank you very much, my device works perfectly again ❤

  Hey mate, just wanted to thank you for these awesome videos. &nbsp;I purchased a cheap, non-functioning SX-70 model 1 as a practice camera before I overhaul my SX-70 Sonar. &nbsp;I was able to restore basic functionality to the camera after an hour or so of tinkering alongside you in this video. &nbsp;I can&apos;t wait to go through the camera completely now!

  Oh dude, I&apos;m so glad I found your channel! I&apos;ve been watching your videos for days now and they&apos;re just mesmerizing. The amount of love and care that goes into each overhaul is incredible and commendable. <br><br>My dad found his old ivory SX-70 Model 2, which has not been used since the 1980s, and I am very tempted to clean and overhaul it myself. I&apos;m also extremely scared of messing it up as it&apos;s a cherished object in our household. I&apos;ll probably end up sending it your way when I&apos;ve saved up some money. In the meantime I&apos;ll pick up a few cheap box Polaroids to scratch the itch and try and try cleaning them up myself. <br><br>Big cheers to you!

  This video helped me fix my own sx-70.<br>The plastic peice on the driveshaft snapped, and the spring extension was such a simple fix that I did it myself.
