  My Dad moved us back to his hometown of Mayflower, Arkansas....when he had his 'midlife crisis' at age 50.  He inherited 40 acres there, built a house....then realized that 'you can't go back and reclaim your childhood memories.  Mom and Dad stayed a total of 5 years,  then sold everything and moved back to Wichita, Kansas, where us kids grew up. As an adult, I saw just how horrible that experience was for my Dad.  'Hometown' wasn't 'hometown' anymore.

  I remember the first time I watched one of your videos, I thought to myself, this is the silliest thing. Who wants to listen to somebody talk about a town as they drive through it? Now I find myself following along on Google Maps every week. Thank you for making these - wouldn't miss it for the world. 😎

  Outsiders typically think Oklahoma is a dry flatland not realizing the eastern half is green with many tall rolling hills, creeks, valleys, caves, <br>waterfalls, and beautiful lakes. I am in Sequoyah county born and raised still living on my little piece of Heaven. I enjoyed your trip to your old stomping grounds. <br>Boomer!

  I recently spent a Sunday in Elk City Oklahoma <br>I attended a Church service and met some of the nicest people ever. &nbsp;<br>They treated me like they had known me for ever. <br>I was very impressed with Oklahoma. &nbsp;Very nice

  Born and raised and still live in Kansas. &nbsp;But have always really liked Oklahoma for the way of life, the good people, and nice towns and countryside. &nbsp;Thank you for posting this.

  Wow, I am in Europe but your story of the town where you grew up is so much like mine. Including the happy memories and the biking around town as a kid. I can hear in your voice the way your happy upbringing shaped you. I believe strongly that what where we are from stays with us all through life. Thanks so much for sharing - I love your vlogs.👍

  Please tell everyone that Oklahoma is the worst state. Apparently not enough people know and it’s getting freaking crowded here. The people moving in need to stop.
