  I once asked someone 14 years ago, back when I first played WoW on a private server, why he would play a female character.  He told me "If I'm going to look at a video game character all day, it may as well be a beautiful lady."  That was the best argument I've ever heard.

  Its easy to bash Blizzard since every time they do something in "good intention", they do it in the most blatant, unnatural and badly timed way. They are just so out of touch.

  For me and regarding characters, I tend to go with a character that I want to look at. Sometimes it&apos;s a gruff bounty hunter looking guy. Sometimes, it&apos;s an... attractive spy/assassin character. But yeah, I tend to play human in games where you can choose the race like in Skyrim or Neverwinter. But it&apos;s why I like games where there is actual custom characters rather than preset characters to play as. But that&apos;s just me.

  I don&apos;t care if a character looks like me.<br>I care if the character I&apos;m playing fits in the setting it&apos;s in.<br><br>If I&apos;m playing medieval fantasy, the last thing I want to see is Robocop walking around.
