Lune is not only an absolute beast, she’s the easiest to set up with the smallest investment! So long as you have 100% crit, you can elemental trick+genesis to clear most of the enemies in the game! Super early in the game though, she was really fun with just lighting everything on fire lol

Personally, Maelle's ending is "worse" in the sense that she is living in denial, and slowly killing herself, but in my opinion it is the most morally correct one, because time and time again the game portrays that the Painted people are real people, even if living in a "fake world", so erasing the canvas is essentially murdering an entire planet of defenseless people, all because of one family's conflict.

One of the best thing about this game is that there is no good ending - both are grey. I never liked Verso's ending as presented due to trust between characters being broken beyond repair - both before and after the events and the game. Meanwhile Maelle's ending at its face value can be easily interpreted as a psychological horror and repeating the cycle. Ironically, I always thought that Verso who wants to have peace, but also doesn't want to destroy the Canvas, makes a third path impossible by allowing Gustave to die. He was the only person who clearly understood Alica/Maelle and was willing to listen. Renoir while maybe a good person, due to his stubbornness and other flaws, isn't the father Alicia needed in that moment, and he surely wasn't the husband Aline needed - there have probably been months or more between Verso's death and Aline jumping into the Canvas for good. If Renoir wanted to just move on, but Aline and Alicia needed more time to grief, I'm not surprised this family shattered. Sadly, seeing Alicia alone at the end of Verso's ending, only made me realise it even more
