Now a days it only takes money. Got my license in '58 with Heathkit, when I earned money went to Kenwood and others through out the years. Learned a lot about what makes radios tick.

Great video. I have the AU-510. 70 to 90% efficiency is what I get. Very nice radio. What used to be a shack full of equipment is now one box on a stand, a lot less cables too. Well worth the buy.

I have flex 5000a since 2010 , still working top and I still learn. Somewhat complicated to maintain Friewire interface to the PC running these days ... 73 to flex team

Would Love to see this technology in the size of a FT-891 @100 watts. Running off 12 volts. That would be absolutely amazing! The Aurora is fantastic as is though amazing... a true advancement for Ham radio. - KL5NE

The radio also has CESSB and Adaptive Predistortion along with the Polar Modulation. So three pretty cutting edge technologies. But out of my price range now. Hope Icom and Yaesu learn from this.
