  My boys are both autistic. I didn't know what to do to help them so I took them to every therapy offered 26 years ago; Speech, peer, music, ABS, OT, horse riding, and physical therapy on the playground. I don't know if that even helped but they're in college now and I am so proud. Their kindergarten teacher said they wouldn't get a highschool diploma. I'm so happy I didn't believe her.

  I envy those kids that get diagnosed early, get support and grow up in a good environment. being diagnosed as an adult and having to survive in a dangerous environment in a toxic society while trying to function and somehow find energy to keep living is literal hell

  Thank you for sharing this story. I’m autistic with ADHD. I wasn’t diagnosed until I was 69. Very late. I’m grateful to know I’m not alone in this world with this condition. I personally don’t believe in my case that it is a bad disease to have. I’ve been able to function in ways many are not  able to. I thank my curiosity to help me. For me it is just sad others that are not struggling with similar issues, don’t try as hard we do to please more normal people. Some day I hope others will understand this issue and provide safe environments for all humans. There has been a lot of violence against me. So I stay to myself and I am comfortable a lone. Unlike most other people. Bless you for speaking up for us. Most of us want some sort of acceptance by other humans. It’s just hard to find it. I’m hopeful though that eventually we will find ways to get by with greater understanding some day.

  Thank you for creating this documentary. Thank you from a late diagnosed adult, thank you for sharing how autism, ADD and ADHD appear in many types of people. Thank you from the little child who faced the world to try and fit in when they always had something different... <br>That child grew to earn a bachelor&apos;s degree and master&apos;s degree in media. Thank you for sharing this with the world.

  I really like this documentary as a person with autism and ADHD from Australia. I still feel like I’m far behind &nbsp;my &nbsp;autistic peers.<br>For me, my interest are more make up stationery and fashion .

  I hate having autism and ADHD. It&apos;s really great in some aspects but some other aspects, The neurodivergence in each are so polarizing it keeps me from being able to concentrate or do much of anything some days. That being said I have no shame in having AuDHD

  I was diagnosed with autism and ADHD 6 years ago at age 65. &nbsp;Learning about them helped me understand my life a bit better, and to understand how to interact with neurotypicals more successfully. &nbsp;I have no regrets or grudges, but sometimes I wonder what my life would have been like if I had been diagnosed as a child. &nbsp;I still have the report card from my kindergarten teacher telling my parents I was aloof. &nbsp;She saw that I was different, but nothing was ever done about it.

  In my experience as a guy with Asperger&apos;s, people intuitively expect and enforce the rule that others must act in a way that’s understandable to them. In childhood, I didn’t mask myself for others because my family accepted my need to talk about my interests. But after entering school, I began to realize that people didn’t want to accept my way of communicating. At the same time, I felt like everyone else was stupid for not being able to tune into how i communicate, and I felt stupid for not seeing the invisible reason why I didn’t fit in. Its getting easier to forgive both myself and others as i understand myself more.
