Arisia (the blonde) does have a significant role in Green Lantern: Emerald Knights. Definitely recommend that as well.

Oh shit! First Flight! The true Hal origin movie. You should also do Emerald Knights, it’s an anthology of different green lanterns. Just so you know, it has the same animation style as this but isn’t connected. Arisia (blonde lantern) gets to speak a lot more

So fun fact, in DC most of universe does dislike humans. Because Earth keeps doing weird cosmic-ending shit all the time. And universe altering events almost all start on earth in DC. Last Kryptonian beats up the God of Entropy? Happened on Earth. Time itself is rewritten creating rippling fractured realities? Happened on Earth. A man punched reality and brought people back from dead? Happened on Earth. The embodiment of death brought back hundreds of millions of dead from across the entire universe to start galactic war? You know that shit happened on Earth.

Love that the saving plot point is Hal being the only one nuts enough to actually touch the green energy source.

From the rest of the Guardians of the Universe, Ganthet( the one Guardian that spoke and has the Wolverine like hair in this movie) is more compassionate than the rest of the Guardians because his human like emotions that made him different and the Guardians didn't like Ganthet's behavior because the Guardians don't show their emotions and suppress them except two of the Guardians, Ganthet and Sayd. One of the Guardians, Appa banished Ganthet and then later, Sayd until Ganthet founded and made the Blue Lantern Corps of Hope. Also, check out the Green Lantern Animated Series because it tells more lore, and the information that I talked about. In the Animated Series, Ganthet's hair is different because the top half is bald but sides and back is medium size and he's one of my favorite characters in that series because he has a calm voice and he cares about his Lanterns.

Sean is spot on with Training Day being the direct homage/structure the creative was going for here. They some openly about that on the BTS features for it.

Kanjar Ro is in this and he is one of my favorite DC Glupp Shittos.

I'll echo the desire for y'all find Emerald Knights. It's not essential viewing or anything, but really fun. You get stories with other lanterns, it had some cool fight scenes, and Rowdy Roddy Piper voices a character in the "Mogo Doesn't Socialize" adaptation!

So happy whenever I see more people checking out Green Lantern: First Flight. This movie is everything the 2011 Ryan Reynolds live action film should've been. I especially love how much this movie is basically Training Day, but with Green Lantern, which really works. Green Lantern has to be one of my favourite DC heroes, with so much cinematic potential to tell a massive intergalactic sci-fi stories, as I genuinely think Green Lantern has the potential to be DC's answer to Star Wars and I'm glad the HBO Lanterns show has gotten people to finally give Green Lantern some much needed respect again. If you want to watch more Green Lantern media, I highly recommend the Green Lantern: Emerald Knights (2011) and the incredibly underrated show Green Lantern: Animated Series , as this show has some truly great writing, complex characters, good animation and interesting worldbuilding that really got me introduced to how fascinating GL lore can be.
BTW, Sinestro is one of my favourite comic book villains and it was this movie that got me hooked on the character, and does a great job of depicting him as a fascinating villain with a long history with Hal Jordan, whose relationship with him is similar to Optimus and Megatron or Anakin and Obi Wan where in this case instead it's the mentor who turned evil. Hal and Sinestro were once partners and friends and even though Sinestro is the villain he does kinda have a have a point about the Guardians as they are very much corrupt, unaccountable, untrustworthy hypocrites that have caused far more problems in the DC Universe than they have genuinely helped anyone, not to mention that with how many dangerous intergalactic threats exist like Starro, Brainiac, Darkseid etc... willpower isn't exactly going to help stop every villain out there. Sometimes fear is needed to keep criminals at bay, I mean, just ask Batman. Victor Garber as Sinestro in this movie is honestly perfect, as his voice is the one I hear when I read any comics featuring Sinestro.
