  This Cantata will be performed at Emmanuel Church Boston, as part of its church service on December 14, 2025. &nbsp; The service also will be broadcast online.

  Eigentlich bedarf auch die BWV 61 kein Kommentar denn die Referenz steht außer jeder Kritik. Man kann sich dem Ensemble hingeben in der Gewissheit dass hier der meist ursprüngliche Bach auf jemanden zu kommt. Sowohl das Instrumental- als auch das Vokalensemble sowie die Solisten und natürlich Jos van Veldhoven sind einsame Spitze. Ein Genuss das Ensemble zu hören und zu sehen. Beeindrückend finde ich immer der Eröffnungschor mit der sich daraus ergebenden Sehnsucht nach dem Heiden Heiland, so wie auch die Kantate heißt.

  Is there a better baroque soprano singing today than Zsuzsi Toth? I cannot imagine ... a voice for the ages!
