In the Quran (<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MpClOTuQaBU&t=1881">31:21</a>), the word Mawadda means a type of love between a husband and wife that comes about as a result of fondness, attachment, affection, and compassion. It’s a protective type of love, a love where you care about the wellbeing and future of your spouse And the word Rahma is often translated as “mercy”, but it’s more than that.
