  Gator blades are NOT designed to be used with a mulch kit  or plug. They are designed to cut it and throw it. That is directly from Oregon, the manu. Most guys will be better served by G5's vs G6's. The 5's are lighter, spin up easier, use less fuel and have slightly more lift since the teeth and lift tab are the same height as the thicker blades, but the 5's ate thinner and thus, create slightly more lift.  I have a ton of experience with G blades under several machines since I mow commercially, though part time these days.

  So what woud you recomend for a 48 &quot; <br>Tractor with a triple bagger picking up blk walnut and maple leaves ,the only time of yr a bag.<br>Thanks

  If your yard is sandy, mulching blades will last a lot longer as they don&apos;t suck up everything off the ground like a high lift blade.

  Another great video! &nbsp;I have the exact same tractor and mower deck as you. &nbsp;I have been considering trying mulching blades and you made me aware of a lot of good points. &nbsp; For example, I use a bagger and thought about using mulching blades sometimes with and sometimes without the bagger. &nbsp; That would probably not give me the results that I would have expected. &nbsp; I don’t think I want to be changing blades for the different cutting methods so I think I’ll stick with the original blades. &nbsp; Anyway, thanks for the informative video.<br> &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Did you ever happen to make a video on adjusting the parking brake linkage? &nbsp; I did not see one but I’m thinking that would be a good one. &nbsp; My parking brake on my x590 does not really stop the tractor from rolling no matter how hard I push the pedal with my foot. &nbsp; The switch obviously works because the tractor starts but if I am on a hill the brake pedal won’t stop me from rolling. &nbsp; If I shut the tractor off then it won’t move. &nbsp; &nbsp;So I’m guessing there must be a linkage adjustment that will fix the problem. &nbsp; In this situation I’d rather tighten something than have my John Deere dealer pick it up under warranty, fix it and then return it. &nbsp; I’m thinking it shouldn’t be that big a deal but maybe I’m wrong, it wouldn’t be the first time.
