I bet you’re doing enough ❤️ it’s actually SO good for dogs to learn independence and just be while they’re awake. So bringing her out to be in her pen while you work is good. It’s exposing her to new sounds and smells which is training! It also teaches her to cope with boredom which is an excellent skill for dogs to develop. Be gentle with yourself, you’re doing your best!

I recall my daughter calling me in tears,"I just can't do this"I told her yes you can and in a little while you will have a friend like you have never known before❤

You're expressing exactly how motherhood is! Your baby is your new life now. Enjoy every minute with her when she's this young. You won't regret it. It's okay to feel like your projects aren't moving along as quickly as they used to. Winnie is a sweetheart.

You can make a zip line across your yard, that has attached a leash and she can walk around but still be secured!

Your doing great. The adjustment to having a dog is real. It takes time to get used to our life schedule revolving around their care. The good thing is it forces you to focus on something outside of yourself. You are doing so much for Winnie she has a glorious life because of you.

sorry for the loss of your Dad Hannah, I'm glad you have Winnie for comfort during this time of grief, take care of yourself and reach out to those you love as often as possible to get the support you need to get through

Her world IS YOU. Be you, do you and she will just flow into you. It’s hard as a puppy. Sometimes it will seem all the hard work is for not. Hang in there, one day it will just happen. You’ll be in lock step💕 she is blessed to have such a good mom.

10 minutes a day is all you need for "formal" training. They are learning so much just by your day to day activities. Winnie is living her best life on your homestead!

It will take time, and as your puppy gets older, you both will get into a rhythm 😊

Hi Hannah, I also recently got a new puppy. They ARE a lot, but I’m finally starting to get used to this new life, and it’s so worth it. Some days I’ve felt down for the exact same reasons as you. But you’re doing so, so well, probably more than you even realize. You’re the best dog mama. 🥹 Lots of love from me and my toy poodle, Pippi! 🐾

Hannah, there’s a lot happening in this one beyond getting a 12-foot wall standing. You’re trying to keep a major build moving while also figuring out life with Winnie, and you were pretty open about how difficult that balance has felt—wanting to give her everything she needs while still trying to keep your own work and life moving. Watching you go from questioning whether you were doing enough to later saying you were starting to find a routine and actually feeling responsible gave this whole video a very human thread.

Then that wall gave you a different kind of lesson. You clearly wanted to be able to say you had done it completely on your own, but recognizing that lifting it wasn't worth getting hurt and calling your stepdad for help was probably the smarter accomplishment. The two of you figuring it out as you went, getting it halfway up, changing the plan and finally standing there looking at this enormous wall you hadn't quite realized was going to be that enormous made the payoff even better.

And through all of that, you were still setting up cameras, moving them around the property and documenting the build while actually doing the work—apparently with at least one camera taking an unexpected swim along the way. There's a lot of real life mixed into this project, and that's part of what gives it its personality.

I hope the trip with Winnie goes well, and especially with where you're headed this week, safe travels to both of you.

— Ken
