  Modifiers honestly feels like the best starting point for fixing this problem. I think the entire issue cascaded into what it is now because clash of clans originally had such a high-skill ceiling and took a lot of time to learn and get good at, and their solution never involved trying to address WHY the players had such a hard time improving in their skill. If they had a more progressive system in place, they wouldn't have such a hard time balancing the higher town halls because people would actually develop skills to prepare for higher town halls. Instead, the game is so easy now that clash of clans have had to add so much other content and stuff to "do" because a lot of their main selling points as a strategy game aren't even respectable

  i rmb 12 years ago in middle school when we had a class clan. we had a war ending during class time and all the boys would sneakily do their war attacks in their pencil cases to not get caught. i had the final attack and needed a 3 to win the war. i got it and we went wildddd, in class. we all got caught and punished but those were the unforgettable memories OG COC wars could give.

  In 2016-18 (when I was playing coc), I still remember sometimes sneaking into opponent clan to check out their CC troops, in case the opponent clan was open for anyone to join and joining REQ &amp; LEAVE type clans for OP troops before war attacks.

  I feel you. I also started playing clash with my school friends. And I have also realised that the wars/game is not as important to me anymore, or maybe I don&apos;t have as much pressure. But I also think part of that is just growing up. I feel like I have started thinking like that for many other games also, bcs end of the day its a video game, and there is shit going down irl which might be more imp.

  I thought of this way to improve wars: The war starts normally. If a clan draws three wars consecutively, modifiers are added, increasing the difficulty with each additional draw. The more consecutive draws a clan has, the higher the difficulty becomes.<br><br>To make higher modifiers more rewarding, clans could receive increased rewards or bonus multipliers as they progress. This would give players more motivation to win increasingly difficult wars instead of simply aiming for a draw.<br><br>Losing a war resets the streak and modifiers, returning the clan to normal mode.

  Introducing the time gate from e-sports could help a bit with ties. Faster attacks to 3 star should be weighted favourably against slower attacks.

  Pick and Ban sounds like a nightmare because armies take a long time to build. If a troop/spell that&apos;s important to your main army is banned, you&apos;d have to use multiple power potions as a crutch. With most equipment having niche use cases that specific armies rely on, equipment will be more of a problem to manage too.<br><br>A better solution would be implementing nerfs to troops/spells/equipment for a certain league.

  I still remember the days when I came home from school and the first thing I did was log into Clash of Clans to use my Clan War attacks. My friends and I would discuss which base we could take down and which attack strategy to use. Now, Clan Wars feel like a chore because we end up with a draw most of the time. Only CWL and Ranked mode feel worth playing. I hope Supercell comes up with a change to make Clan Wars fun again.
