  When I lost my house in 08, I put several Hosta in pots and took them with me. Over 10 years and progressively bigger pots, I carried them with me. My Elegans is beautiful next to the Ghost fern and I've gifted divisions to friends. I love the differences in color, size and leaf structure. From the stately Sagae to the older Fragrant Bouquet to the smaller ones, I love them all! They play well with others and emerge to cover areas after the spring ephemerals and Daffodils fade. Especially nice with Hellebores and ferns. So many design options! I'm with you Steph, I find them hard to resist.

  I have 2 sum and substance hostas in my yard that are 6 ft wide and 4 ft tall! Nobody can believe it is large. I have given chunks of it to friends over the years and theirs are big like that too❤ I had 10 hostas to begin with and now I have abt 40. I am not tender when I divide them, just chop them in pieces and replant them...so  easy!

  With over 400 Japanese maples in my garden it’s tough to remember all the names of my hostas, and I didn’t keep up with them, I’ve probably got over 50 hostas in my garden, one of my favorites is guacamole

  OMG - what a great video !!! &nbsp;I am a hosta lover and agree with Stephanie - the ones with a story are always my favorite. &nbsp;My absolute favorite is &apos;June&apos; - the very first hosta I bought. &nbsp;Dug it up and moved it with me 5 years ago when we left our former home. &nbsp;Was introduced to hostas by a friend and fellow Master Gardener who was leading a tour at Smith-Gilbert Gardens in Kennesaw, GA (before they were open to the public). &nbsp;He introduced me to hostas and told me all the best places to shop for them - I guess you could say he was my &apos;dealer&apos; and enabler - hahaha !!!!!!!!!! &nbsp;I don&apos;t even know how many varieties I have in my current garden but its a lot, and I wouldn&apos;t have it any other way 😁

  I guess the closest thing I have to hostas are the potted caladiums that I have this year. &nbsp;They have just exploded into leaf with this hot and humid rainy weather. &nbsp;The caladiums are red, pink and green. &nbsp;I’ve had to spray them with deer repellent on a regular basis, which has been well worth it for me.
