  The irony of me listening to this while playing an online tournament. Someone shoves all in pre-flop over my RFI while I&apos;m holding AA.<br>They had AKs and got there with the flush. I just shrugged it off 🤣 - Only reason I could was probably because it was at the exact moment you were talking about AA and KK LOL

  You are SO correct about real, old-school pros always were super nice to the recreational players. &nbsp;Stick up for them if they accidentally string bet (the dealer/floor will call it out but never should you be a big rule enforcer), never criticize their terrible call on the turn where they rivered a miracle against you. &nbsp;Laugh it off and make sure they are having fun, etc. &nbsp; The internet poker age saw so many young kids, who had zero social skills, scare away the recreational players at the brick and mortar games by sucking the fun out of it. &nbsp;Not saying they ain&apos;t nice kids, great players, etc but real live pros only exist cause of the recreational (bad) players. &nbsp;They are the clients and you gotta keep the customers happy.

  I’m very much a beginner, but main thing I’ve learned so far is the amount of patience and discipline poker needs. You can go card dead for a long time, then you get something playable and everyone folds etc. makes it very tempting to loosen the range.

  Point 21 is REALLY important. I play this game to have fun and the socialization. Most people I meet at the table are fun, interesting, and engaging. It helps when I&apos;m card dead for an hour and the table is lively and conversing. Keep the table talking. I guarantee it will help your win rate.

  the two biggest things that helped me is 1) suited connectors and pocket pairs in position only 2) most of the gain is going to be simply from getting others to chase while you bet top pair and mostly in position.
