I rarely gush over anyone but l find Libby's portrait to be simply phenomenal. She captured her sitter immediately.

I am no expert, but I loved Libby's protrait - in my view I have never seen a better one on this series. So beauiful!

Their description of the winner was exactly Libby. The way she put that portrait together with the knife was absolutely stunning. I would love to see her paint again, truly!!

They need a new show "Portrait artist judge of the year" where the judges are judged, and the best judges can judge the next season of this show

I have a real issue with the judges' stated attitude of we don't like pet portraits because some can be a bit kitschy. To reject an entire category of subject matter because you dislike how some artists have dealt with it is incredibly narrow-minded from someone whose position as a judge requires an open mind.

Libby's was my fav, but the judges' pick was also good. I want to give a shout-out to Megan. She didn't give in to just focusing on the man's size. She saw the person. Almost every comment about him on the show was a joke or some comment about his size. She saw his character. I love that about her painting.

the art snobs forget the long history of pet and equine painters.
I love these guys but the gate keeping is just silly.
If a painter is unable to covey the sense of connection you're looking for I say it's the fault of the artist, not the sitter, what ever species they may be

I would have chose either of the other two before the winner. Although I do believe she belonged in the top three

I honestly don’t understand the judge’s thought process or decision making 🤔 I think the self portrait with the dog was best, plus her painting of the famous guy.
