  I really enjoyed the aerial footage. I've been to all of these places either to work or to have a holiday but I've never seen any of them from above before.

  Dunoon, it’s lovely. Just never had the opportunity to move there. Family needed me and by the time they didn’t, between them and my job I was disabled. It was too hard to move away.

  Very good advice! I bought a 1875 stone small house, (inland), in Wales cheaply, so I could do any age related repairs over a period if time. Builders charged about 2 and a half times the REAL repair cost. So it's okay to buy one of these lovely cottages - if YOU are a builder, and do any repairs, at COST price

  I’d say Saltcoats is actually much prettier than the film shows here - the section of beach from the Saltcoats harbour into Ardrossan town is lovely and the view over to Arran is phenomenal. Ardrossan harbour area is lovely too - it’s been really well developed and includes a small marina which is always full. There’s 2 trains per hour and it takes 50 not 15. The town centre could do with more investment but it’s not awful. It was Ardrossan town that was being show there more rather than Saltcoats.

  My cousins are from ardrossan . I’m from Glasgow and love it down there. Childhood memories and I still visit it and my relatives.

  I lived in Thurso for 30 years, teaching. I didn't work at Dounreay.  Our kids grew up and moved to Aberdeen.  When grandkids came along, we moved to be nearer them.  I think Thurso was a good place to live, and much safer than most. Great views across to Orkney.

  I moved in November 2024 and I very nearly bought the mansion you show right at the beginning in Dunoon.  The sad fact is - although it is huge, with an amazing view and land; it is in horrible repair and would take far more money that I have to bring it up to scratch.    That and the ferries - I was worried if I missed the last ferry for whatever reason, I wouldn't be able to get home.
