  Zangief is with the villains in Wreck-It Ralph because when the director was a kid, he kept losing to Zangief, so he was included in the villain meeting for that reason.

  Some clarifications: <br>-Ansatsuken/Assassination Fist is not a Martial Art like Karate or Muay Thai. It is actually just a term for any martial art used with the intention to kill. The Shoto&apos;s fighting style is unnamed but it is &apos;rooted&apos; in Ansatsuken. Gen&apos;s fighting styles (he has 2 that he switches between) are also said to be rooted in Ansatsuken. <br>-The Satsui no Hadou is not a type of energy. It&apos;s simply a state you enter into when the only thing you care about is utterly crushing your opponent. Once you let the killing intent consume you, the power you already possess becomes darker and more brutal. Prolonged exposure will cause physical changes to your body.<br>-Ken does not use Ki to create fire. One of the differences between Ryu and Ken is that Ryu has strong Ki but Ken&apos;s is rather weak. Ryu and Akuma can use Ki to create fire and merge it with the Hadouken to create the Shakunetsu Hadouken but Ken doesn&apos;t. Rather, Ken&apos;s punches and kicks are so fierce that when they travel through the air, the friction that is generated creates fire. However, in SFV they gave him the ability to use the shakunetsu.<br>-Dhalsim&apos;s fire is actually an illusion that won&apos;t burn people if they believe they won&apos;t be burned.

  zangief has always been a good dude. as a wrestler though, he used to play a heel—basically the &quot;bad guy&quot; of the scripted melodrama of the ring who is there for the fans to boo at. ergo his distinction between being a &quot;bad guy&quot; and being a bad <b>guy</b> .<br><br>remember also that the ussr was still a thing when he was first created, and just how strong that cold war propaganda was; in the decades up to sfii&apos;s release, i don&apos;t know if it was even conceivable to a u.s. audience that a huge burly soviet strongman could be anything other than a threat—a stereotype that capcom superficially leaned into, until the player actually dug in and got to know the character and, almost like a punchline, he turned out to be actually the sweetest goofball. despite how he looks, you know? and despite being a dreaded soviet asset.)<br><br>kayfabe and cultural paranoia aside, gief has always been a stand-up dude. and later games have just unambiguously leaned into his big heart and strange personality tics, not even pretending there&apos;s a malicious bone in his body.

  Fun Fact about Clement&apos;s little mention of Ryu and Akuma being used in crossovers.<br>It&apos;s no exaggeration that Ryu, Chun-Li, Ken, Cammy, Guile, and Akuma have the biggest list when it comes to being used in crossovers.<br>They are THE representatives of their franchise.<br><br>While it&apos;s not really an official title and more of a fan term, Ryu is often called &quot;Mr. Crossover&quot; with how many many franchises he has connections to. And remember that Asura&apos;s Wrath bit with Akuma? Ryu was also part of that and is actually the first character you fight. He just randomly pops into Asura&apos;s universe and just starts fighting. Not questioning anything. Now fans make a running joke that Ryu is constantly being pulled into other worlds and his only response is to fight someone.<br><br>Chun-Li is actually not that far behind them. She and Ryu usually come as a package deal when it comes to representing their franchise, but with stuff like Smash Bros and Asura&apos;s Wrath, Ryu just has a bit more to his list. Still, she is hailed as &quot;The First Lady of Fighting Games&quot; or &quot;The Queen of Guest Stars&quot; so her impact in gaming culture is still felt to this day.<br>Her and Ryu are just too iconic to not be the first picks Capcom would use.<br><br>Ken is basically Ryu&apos;s other half, and so gets included in what Ryu and Chun-Li get added to if they have the slot for him. And he&apos;s already far from the clone character he was in the early years. Though Smash Bros hasn&apos;t really helped since he&apos;s an Echo Fighter of Ryu, so he&apos;ll probably still be seen as a clone by some for years to come.<br><br>Cammy is usually one of the more popular female characters in fighting games, but mostly within that sphere. She surprisingly has been used in a lot of shooter games like Call of Duty (mobile) and Rainbow Six Siege. I would count Fortnite too, but that game has everybody and sometimes they&apos;re just skins.<br><br>Guile is another pillar for the franchise, but he doesn&apos;t really seem to generate a lot of conversations as far as I&apos;m aware. He&apos;s included in a lot of fighting games, puzzle games, and whatnot. But I believe (and I could be wrong here) Cammy has a bit more sex appeal for younger fans that her usage is more noticeable than Guile.<br><br>Akuma ain&apos;t too far behind, and while I don&apos;t doubt doubt even some casual fans would recognize him, those that know the legacy of the character have a true appreciation for when he&apos;s used.<br>When he&apos;s in a medium where he&apos;s playable, he&apos;s usually a super hard boss you have to defeat to unlock. And pretty much is a more &quot;Glass Cannon&quot; version of Ryu. More powerful and versatile in exchange for less health.<br>But when he&apos;s just an enemy to defeat and not playable, he&apos;s just a surprise boss that&apos;s meant to give the players a hard challenge.

  I remember watching this dude&apos;s Mega Man X Let&apos;s Plays, holy shit. <br>I forget if he mentioned it, but Final Fight was going to originally be called Street Fighter 89, at least allegedly.

  Street Fighter could’ve taken Tekkens spot in the Guinness World Record for longest consistent story told in a fighting game if it hadn’t retcon some of the games

  <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MM3AUnDBfK8&amp;t=5753">1:35:53</a> I know this video was posted before SF6 was released but due to Akuma being added into SF6 as DLC and the fact that you can become his student in world tour and he&apos;ll tell you stories of his past, one of which has a picture of him after hitting Bison with the Raging Demon, meaning Akuma&apos;s ending from Street Fighter 2 is canon.

I guess the subtle “going Turbo” foreshadowing would’ve lost its edge if that wasn’t the literal only thing Bison said.

  ps dan is legit really good, just in the adhd kind of way. he created a mixed martial art wich he cant take advantage of, but some of the strongest characters in the lore uses similar moves, especialy kage, while not strong per say, literaly embodies the will to kill of ryu, and he uses the same fighting style fdan invented.<br>dan can throw one handed fireballs, wich in themselves are insanely impresive, its jus that theyre so hard that theyre barely useable by anyone, so his stay small just to flex he can do it, when he do 2 handed firballs, theyre really big and powerful, his own move he invented, the dan kicks, are amongst the best of that kind of moves in the games, and are his best move y far.<br>he is also incredibely good at taunting, a fact that may sound wierd but its seems that lore wie, he slowly picked up on how to fight using taunts.<br>he is also capable of doing the raging demon akuma does, and the walking man an oposite move that sucks but only hoim know how to do and is really hard lore wise to execute.<br>he also know how to do kazuya&apos;s eletric wind god punch from tekken.... yeah.<br><br>the man is a joke in the sense he should be a legitimate threat with a serious back storry, if it wasnt for his... adhd XD, (sillyness and lazyness)

He dyes his hair blonde as his natural hair colour is black. So him going to Japan to learn Martial Arts is just him going back to his father&apos;s homeland to learn.<br><br><a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MM3AUnDBfK8&amp;t=4303">1:11:43</a><br>Karin Kanzuki is also not white and just blonde presumably because she dyes it just like Ken. Street Fighter just loves its blondes for some reason. Her name kinda gives it away though. Ken buries the lead a bit better.
