12:40 There's a niche side-mode called Vesus Saxton Hale, basically a juggernaut gamemode where one person becames Saxton who has an absurd amount of health, can jump really high and far, and can charge up a one-hit-kill punch. Saxton wins if he can kill all mercs before they kill him. Basically a bunch of players against an autralian demi-god.

Oh, and they actually finished the last comic recently after the video, thanks to the community's efforts.

The seventh comic actually did come out in December 2024. If you're interested, the youtuber ShorK did a comic dub of it with some of the official voice actors (though I'm not sure of their stance on reaction videos)

Edit: Turns out they're okay with it

36:44 The thing with Heavy's family is quite sweet. He had them living in Siberia to keep safe from people who might go after them because of his mercenary work. They leave because it turns out they've been regularly attacked by other mercs and criminals anyway, but Heavy's sisters just kill them without any trouble and were only staying in Siberia so he wouldn't worry about them

06:33 no, actually. Team Fortress 2 is a class-based shooter, not a hero shooter.

Those two terms are not synonymous. A proper class shooter assigns players to specific functional roles, or "classes" with customizable or swappable gear. Example: TF2 has only one dedicated healer in Medic.

whereas a hero shooter gives the players a broad variety of unique, named characters with fixed ability kits/ults, with little to no care for any semblance of class balance. Example: Overwatch 1 had seven healers or "support heroes" (Mercy, Lúcio, Zenyatta, Symmetra, Ana, Moira, Brigitte and Baptiste).

Overwatch 1 pioneered the concept of Hero Shooters, which is why Overwatch 2, Marvel Rivals, Valorant and more are more influenced by overwatch than TF2.
Also Overwatch 1 always had trouble properly balancing the heroes against each other. Which is why the heroes were never close to equal in in-game usability. This isn't a problem in TF2 as there are strictly nine classes you have to concern yourself with balancing to make all a valuable choice to play.

Other games that are true class-based shooters include: Plants vs Zombies 2, Battlefield 1 thru 5, Killing floor 2, and Deep Rock Galactive.
