  I started out thinking I'd like the passport size but then I ordered the Paper Republic pocket notebook for journaling and realized that the passport is actually smaller than their pocket.  The pocket is great for daily journaling but for my travel journal I knew I'd want more space to write more about the trip and to add ephemera.  I'm so glad I got the regular size TN.  It's been fun putting it together.   I've actually been rewriting my trips from 2023 forward since I wasn't happy with the notebook I started in.   I bought the weekly/notes calendar and my idea is to make notes there while I'm traveling and then actually create the trip journal with photos, etc. when I get back. This will give me more freedom to curate my layout rather than just putting everything at the end. Last year on the trips I took I found that I just didn't have a lot of time or energy at the end of a full day of touring to write.  So I think this will work better.  If I decided to collect stamps from places particularly in Japan I think the passport size would be perfect for that.

  At first, I thought I was a Hobonichi girl. Until I bought some inserts to play around with and realized that I prefer Travelers Notebooks. <br><br>Though I had to figure that out the expensive way. I wasn’t connecting to the Hobonichi and its cousin the way I thought I would. I started off good but then I fell off. <br><br>Even though it’s been a few weeks using TN I feel more confident in the system. I especially love the undated notebooks. Dated notebooks add too much pressure to keep up which sounds strange. Plus the length and size of the notebooks are great. I didn’t think I would like the size. I take my notebooks with me everywhere. <br><br><br>I have three A6 notebooks even though I like the size — I don’t like how my handwriting changes when I get to the end of the paper. 😂 I use the A6 for shorter entries and the TN regular for longer entries. Not to mention, my a6 is a stalogy with a tragen cover so that notebook will last me for a while. <br>I’m still iffy about the passport cover and inserts. <br><br>Next week, I will get a TN leather cover in black. I can’t wait. I even got the TN 3 year dairy - one line a day and I love it!

  Thank you so much for this video! I’ve been looping the what-ifs in my mind for days. I remembered I filled a standard sized journal many years ago and that I liked longform journaling. I’m certain I’ll buy the passport size too in the future but like you said, it’s just a matter of which one to get first! 😅❤

  Great video thank you! I’m currently trying to reconfigure my notebook setup (journal, pocket notebook, ideas and commonplace) and the travellers notebooks are really interesting me. This was a great help, decision soon to come!

  I tend to lean towards the regular size. I like the narrow size for it, the only downside is that it tends to get heavy but I&apos;ve learned to deal with that. The passport size never really stuck with me but, i like to keep it as a travel journal that i sometimes hold in the car. It&apos;s also nice for when i know i wont be/dont feel like carrying much.
