  Clarks are high end shoes and older people love them including me. Yes they are not FASHION SHOES but are great for comfort and fit

  Ashley, the civil (or revolutionary) war coats would be purchased by re-enactors. If they look shoddy, it's because the goal is to look "period correct." Re-enactment garments are quite pricey and might fetch you a nice profit. You can probably call a shop that specializes in this stuff for more info. Regimental Quartermaster in Gettsburg, PA might be a good resource for you.
