  My experience moving to a village in Barcelona was quite similar to yours. I didn&apos;t speak Spanish/ Catalan when we moved. My wife (who is Spanish) was offered a job we couldn&apos;t refuse. It left us 3 months to move. Having our kids in the local school helped with integration to the community, and the various events through the year. But all of that is generally family centred.<br>To make your own friends, clubs are the way. Be it something you wantd to learn or a hobby, you&apos;ll find people like you.

  Very true. When moving to a new area , you really need to make an effort &nbsp;to integrate and ask yourself how, if you were a local , you would expect anybody newly moved in to behave. Also, when talking about the civil war which was so traumatic for all involved , you nedd to proceed with a great deal of tact and caution. ❤

  Love these videos, so interesting to see what you’re up to. You mentioned visas: is it necessary to have residency before buying the property? Or must you travel back to UK every 3 months to renew the visa?

  We tried it back in 2021 but it was hard with Brexit 😢 we didn’t have enough money to buy a place so just had some amazing adventures and then came back to the UK.

  I m an Indian and 39 year old single ..Plz help me to move to Spain bcoz i m trying to move out from my country for better life and financial stability.. i love gardening and i m a very good food as well also i have been working as a Hindi language teacher with foreigners for more then 10 years now and i have the same years experience working as a nanny / babysitter

  Unfortunately I live in Canada and the people here refuse to buy anything from the USA, which obviously is an Elon Musk company. <br>I was in Ukraine, but long before I went, I started to learn some Ukranian words and basic phrases. <br>I volunteered in a very small town, not quite a village, and I did manage to do most of my time using verbal language, but I needed the translations for things like menues.
