  Wow. What a journey, Elena.<br><br>From being dismissed as not &quot;talented&quot; enough to be supported by the russian tennis fed and thus left for Kazakhstan, her Wimbledon win dismissed as a fluke, her privacy and personal affair hung to dry in the open public space... her quiet determination, resilience, and brilliance always shine through.<br><br>She&apos;s mastered the techniques and developed her own game: to minimise risk to injuries; to manage control of the ball and the game; to maintain focus, energy, and stamina through out the match and tournament. It all explains her economy of movement and &quot;display&quot; of emotion, and clinical execution. Elena Rybakina is a virtuoso of the game.

  such a hostile crowd for Rybakina, particularly at match with Gauff.. but Rybakina is so stoic and disciplined..

  Most of the crowd were always against her but boy at the end they’re cheering for her. &nbsp;She’s &nbsp;got this graceful humility about her, she’s a champion but a better human being😘.

  I&apos;m very happy that she has become world number one. She embodies all the qualities of the world best female player; power, skill, speed, intelligence, and most importantly she possesses composure, humility, a lack of showboating, and respect for her opponent, traits completely absent in the other finalist yesterday, which her nickname is &quot;The screaming dinosaur.&quot;

  Two grand slam titles within one year. No question about the #1 ranking. She earned it and deserves it. A player with class and grace. I guess next year, she will be on Ashe Stadium on her first match rather than being put on the Grandstand at the US Open that she was put on this year as the #2 ranked player. Hopefully, others will finally respect this young lady!
