  70 years ago, I would have looked up the answer in my really old fashioned log tables or slide rule. I was doing a level maths at 15 years old! Thanks for the history lesson.

  I am 72 and passed my maths GCSE but watching this shows me how much I have forgotten over the years as I have had no reason to use it. Your lessons are really well put together and of course if you go a little too fast I can always go back over it which I couldn&apos;t at school as once they had told you how to do it that was it, if you didn&apos;t get it first time then you were lost. I can remember using logarithms and had a log book with all the solutions in it to save time. Keep up the lessons as you must be helping millions of people. Thank you

  I just realized why this never stuck. It’s the long drawn out explanation. &nbsp;I understand the need as you get deeper into the equation but, I was then, as now ahead of you and lost focus missing much of what you said about the part I wanted to know.

  I understood from basic knowledge of exponents that it would be 3-something. Thanks for explaining what a logarithm is!😊

  Thx for your video, it brought back many fond memories of my senior high school maths classes. Thanks too, to our teacher for teaching us logs and exponents so well. 44 years later the knowledge is still rattling around in there and I was able to solve for &nbsp;x. A teacher who loves teaching and loves the topic is worth more than the measly salary they get paid.

  I am 63 years old and never did well in math. I work around a bunch of engineers and am truly amazed with math at this point in my life. I love your videos. I like the way you explain simple math. I am at this level, so I really appreciate it.

  We didn’t have calculators at my schools, we had logarithmic books and a slide rule. So I had to learn it the hard way, nobody would do this today!<br>Thank you for this refresher math course!
