People keep asking if these teachings are written down anywhere. They are now. My book The Native Mind → raygreywolf.shop

When I was 17 I loved to hike and camp.
But at 80 I can’t do that. But my mind is still 17.

I am 81 this year and dropped all these stones 6yrs ago when my wife passed after 54yrs married. I just want to say the biggest and most important stone for me was forgiveness done with genuine intent, this allowed my own joy and smiles and gave me back gratitude for life. Thank you for posting these words of wisdom much love to all

I got a call from a friend who wanted to live as long as possible, without considering the quality of that life. She asked me what l do. I told her whatever l want, l don't have to do anything. She said she spends her life going to the doctor, she has been doing this for at least 20 yrs, and finally realized it. She has been consumed with the health of her husband, who died a few years ago, and her own health. I see the medical system as a money making operation that uses people's fear of death. People spend their years or decades going to doctor appointments. Last time l saw a doctor was over 6yrs ago, l am in my 70s. Live your life as free as possible knowing that when your time comes, it's time for the next adventure.

I am 84 years old and I am glad that I don't fear death. To me, it is graduation day, the day we drop the cocoon. our out bodies, and fly home!

I love this channel. I'm 72. I listen on a long walk down a dusty road in Arizona. So much wisdom!❤

Wonderful counsel, Grandfather.
My beloved Grandma lived to be 97 and she never used her "special" things. A lovely sweater my Mom got her sat wrapped in tissue in a drawer, for years. The new tea kettle sat on a shelf, and on and on. She died never having enjoyed these things.

I'm the opposite! I use things right this minute and always have, it's not just because I am old now. I've always had a sense of impermanence.

I have had decades where I did good service work for my community and cared for my husband until his death, but now, this is MY time. I have earned it and I love it. I do not hurry, I do not try to fix anyone. I love solitude and quiet. I don't attend things I do not want to go to. Any day could be my last..I have so far survived cancer and I do not sweat the petty stuff. I am very grateful for all of it.

Setting the stone down for people that no longer show up. No more setting a plate at the table or pulling a chair out for someone that will not show up. I'm lifting the stone from my bag, sitting it down and walking away. Now I feel lighter and ready for coffee and a sunrise. 😊
