  I have a friend who is one of 5 children and she says that anytime her whole family went anywhere together that was hours away her Mom would get them all in the car, turn around in her seat and dose them all up with paregoric! This was back in the 60’s.  She said they would all be asleep before they got out of town and then when they all woke up they were AT THE BEACH!  She said she was 13 before she realized the beach was REALLY 5 hours away. Said she always thought it was just down the road.  😂😅

  I love these stories. I rarely fall asleep though, As soothing as your voice is, your stories are worth listening to. I live in a small  Village called Gagetown. In New Brunswick, Canada. good night, and thank you.

  Once again, I’m snuggling down with my beloved cats &  lap  dog. Your platform gives me something BEAUTIFUL, Informative, Interesting and SOOTHING to look forward to every Night as I retire. You deserve Great Credit for your Calming, Soothing Narrative. With that said. I find your stories Far too interesting - to fall asleep too! If I end up dozing off ( after hours of pleasant listening, , indeed I eventually succumb to peaceful sleep. I always make a Point ; of RE— Listening during my awake time.   The gentlemen telling this story is amazing. So informative. This particular story about the “medication” taken in a lot of households, surprises me but then again, doesn’t surprise me.
