  I used to think subwoofers were useless for music, having acquired one that came recommended for music 20 years ago and never getting on with it, trying it with various speakers. But then I bought a new Martin Logan one this year - night and day difference!. I think the lesson is that subs have improved enormously (for music at least), more than most components.<br>Dealer websites, including yours, often still list them only under Home Cinema though!

  I went down the BK Electronics subwoofer route as I wanted both great prices and where possible I go for uk manufactured which BK are .. I went for a sealed double gem as its size taller but narrow worked for my room .. this video has reinforced that I picked the right type of sub for my requirements and primarily music needs .. if I’d of been able to see this video when I was looking to purchase in January this year it would of saved a lot of angst trying to decide so hats off to Peter Tyson in making this video

  My system is mainly for 2-channel music listening. I wanted a sub to boost the bottom end that was left a bit lacking by my Evo 4.2 stand mounts. After spending an unhealthy amount of time researching subs, I chose the SVS SB-1000 Pro. I ran into issues with room modes, and the answer was to add a second SB-1000 Pro! Lots of experimentation with placement, and lots of tweaking with the excellent SVS app to get the subs and mains well integrated, and I&apos;m now very content. &nbsp;Installing subs, especially with two, is not plug-and-play, but it&apos;s worth the effort.

  When they have port i like my carausio subwoofer more with own Amps on. Active subs is nothing against homemade carausio sub. I yousing b2 Rampage elite 18 carbon in a build box with glass with led light. Maybe i should build one more with 3 8&quot; subs. If dirac can made them work together 😎

  My current sub is a definitive technology pro sub 1000 and I am torn between the RSL-10e and Klispch R-121sw we love music and movies and we use our system a lot. I would like a little more movie rumble but not sure if the 12 is the better choice since the RLS is getting a lot of great feedback and it’s also cheaper. What’s your opinion?

  Ive been through many subs and brands. Unless you&apos;re buying something like a couple RS2s, or SI24s...i&apos;d just go with ported and get the SPL. You can get plenty musical with ported cap 2400s

  Hi John, not sure if you are back from your hols yet but I thought I would run this by you? I am looking at isolation for the KC62 and specifically either an Isoacoustic platform or their Orea pucks. I am getting some bass bloom from my room now (that I didn&apos;t have before) and wondered if it was vibration from the KC62 or a room mode being excited that wasn&apos;t there before? Any thoughts or advice?
