A singer from Kazakhstan gets to be the first ever non national to sing in a Chinese singing contest. He is the youngest, he is first on, and he sings a song from a French rock opera, in French! Then he does that!!!

This was the song he chose to introduce himself to the chinese audience in competition. He gained 600 million likes overnight apparently and many of us round the world learned about a young Kazakhstan singer, I have followed him every day ever since, attended five overseas concerts and I am 79 year old lady from U.K. he is incredibly talented, yet unassuming, educated, workaholic, loving, respectful patriotic and very much the humanitarian. Oh and tall, dark and handsome, lol.

The reason that most Dears do not like the show that you mentioned is not due to his performance but not wanting to give views to the show itself. They basically lied to him about who he would be competing agaisnt. He does not believe that an adult should compete against childern. When he found out, he announced during the show that he was leaving the competition and the panel of judges were not nice about it.

Dimash’s version of “Ikanaide” is a master class on vocal techniques, dynamics, and interpretation.

Dimash was offered a place in the Astana Opera. He turned it down. (Thank goodness.) He wanted to go his own way.
I really hope you watch more Dimash.

Dimash is the best vocalist of my almost 72 years of life. Even his highest notes do not give me ear cringe as all others have. The sound is too clear and pure.

With this song, you just wet your fingertips in the ocean under the name Dimash... React further to it and millions of Dimash fans will simply blow up your channel with hundreds of thousands of views and subscriptions. Dimash sings from classical to rap, he is full of surprises, have a good swim in this vast Ocean of pleasures. Do you remember the Diva song from The Fifth Element, a movie with Bruce Willis? In this film, the song of the alien Diva was made half with the voice of an opera singer, and half synthesized on a computer to show an alien voice so that human capabilities could not cover the range and jumps of this song, and so: Dimash sang it calmly, which proves that Dimash is an alien. When heard Dimash sing, I thought that he was not human. When heard what he said in an interview, realized that Dimash is more of a human than all of Us.

It’s my understanding that autotune isn’t allowed in Chinese tv competitions, so we know this is his natural voice.
This was his breakthrough performance to a global audience (even though he was already an award-winning singer, having won the Grand Prix at the Slavic Bazaar in 2015).

When people cannot figure out what is going on they label it whatever they want, autotune, playback, fake, I've been to dimash concerts, and I can say even in those rare moments that he's not super clean, he sounds better than most singers, he has so much control over his voice
