I’m an older man and I have ridden GS’s for over 30 years and they have all been good. I still love my 2015 GSA. It’s just too good to get rid of.

I bought a 1250 GSA brand new. I put 100k km on it. Sold it and got the 1300 GSA (non asa) and i truly like the 1300 better. The looks had to grow on me. But handeling, brakes, steering and power allot better then the 1250.

Thank you for the video.

You’re comparing the windscreen on a 1300 Trophy, which has a smaller windscreen than any of the other 1300GSA models…all of which come standard with a higher touring screen and larger side winglets. How do you do a review like this and not mention (or even know) this?? You’ve also got the 1300 loaded with luggage front and rear. Having owned a 1200, 1250 and now a 1300GSA I can tell you the wind protection is far better on the 1300, it’s also more comfortable, more refined and sportier. It feels like a more modern bike.

Nice work but please allow me 1 or 2 remarks, you have a Wunderlich screen on the 1250, and a smaller screen on the 1300. The 1300GSA with the OEM Windscreen High, is better than the 1250, regarding buffeting from the sides and you get the wind above you a bit more, than with that small screen you have there. The second point is, in warmer countries where temperature rises well above 30C and 40C in the summer, the 1300 GSA is better than the 1250gsa keeping the radiator hot air away from rider legs, because of the design of the outlets and the wide tank, while the standard 1300gs blows hot air to the shins. I didn't like the new seat though and still prefer the looks of the old bike. Regards.

For me it’s the 1250gsa any day. I have had just about all the Gs/gsa since the mid 1990s. Now on a 1250gsa. Tested a 1300gs that had asa. That’s a firm no from me. Feels like bmw have built a bike to try to appeal to people who are coming from other bikes rather than a previous GS and forgotten about us long standing gs riders. The new 1300 feels very un gs like for me, gone is that dependable old tractor feel which has made the gs a great bike to live with and ride every day. Now it’s a let’s go for a sporty ride. It’s a great bike just not for me. The asa in this platform for me is a definite no.
Still the best gs I reckon has to be the 1200gsa oil head, might even look for one of those and do a complete refresh on it.
Keep up the good work, this was an interesting one

Bought a demo 2023 1250 GS in late 2023. Fantastic bike at only 545#, albeit a shorter range with the 20L fuel tank. With the money I saved buying a demo bike with 305 miles on it, I applied it to picking a used low mileage 2022 1250 RT. I've test ridden the 1300's and being 195 cm tall, they feel too small for me compared to the 1250 GS and RT models. So I will be keeping the 1250's, they are more than good enough for my 68 year old needs. Fantastic bikes, both of them.

I have a 1250 GSA Trophy - just like this one... and have ridden my friends GSA1300 trophy in the Picos. When I got off his 1300 I said ' thats not an evolution, its a revolution'... On the road, its dynamically much much sharper. BUT I was on 50/50 trailmax raids and he was on the stock Anakee adventures... I actually think that impacted the dynamics more than the suspension. One thing I would say - if you are a shorter rider, the 1300 (unbelievably) feels much much more compact in the cockpit... I am keeping my '23 GSA1250 for now as I just prefer the low down torque of mine. On pricing - Interestingly, I did price up the cost to change and it was less than £3k to change for a low miles '25 R1300 GSA trophy or triple black. Demo and low miles R1300 GSAs are now available below £18k which is £6-£7k in depreciation in eighteen months.

Personal preference but I bought a 1250 and with the extra $6,000, I bought a second bike for around town riding and dirt road riding. Extremely happy with my decision.

3 x 1250GSA owner, last year I test rode the 1300GSA and honestly couldnt understand all the fuss and didnt detect it better anywhere. In fact the ugliness and the engine sound like it has run dry of oil were 2 outstanding things that immediately made the new bike feel underwhelming. The thing about the ergonomics and height etc are for short arses who maybe should be on smaller bikes if they feel that intimidated

What about reliability? DSA is a great feature, but it doesn’t feel reliable enough for something on a GS. I had the suspension pump on my 1300gs replaced last October, and the warnings are already coming back, less than 10 months later, with under 9,000 km on the odometer in total.
