  When I visited the tombs last summer, Sisi’s and Maximilian’s tombs were covered in offerings and memorabilia.

  Imagine if royals babies were dying in such a large number, the number of normal babies was huge. The saddest is the princess who died because of that cigar, she was not even sick

After his final defeat at Waterloo in 1815, he was exiled to the island of Saint Helena in the South Atlantic, where he died on May 5, 1821.

  Tombs/graves/funerary sculpture tends to get less creepy/somber with each era, judging by how some of the 1600s to the late 1700s ones looked like, with literal skull sculptures/motifs, to the simple &quot;wood with golden gilt&quot; modern ones.
