  You know what sucks? If these weren't celebrities, no one would care. The authorities wouldn't investigate, there'd be no big push to find the perpetrators.

  Revenge porn doesn't bother authorities and victims must rely on compassionate online detectives but leaked nudes of celebrities inspire FBI to get in the action. Both cases deserve equal attention.

  All we learned from this are two things:<br><br>1. All this action against the hackers was only because they were celebrities. The media and all these people wouldn&apos;t give two craps if they were regular people.<br><br>2. The power of lust and coomers is a horrible and terrifying force.<br><br>At least we got the grand meme &quot;Who is this 4chan?&quot; And &quot;The hacker known as 4chan&quot; out of it

  Imagine being a Reddit employee on the copyright team during that time. Just clock in and delete the same naked pictures of celebs for 8 hours a day

  As a CS student, the fappening was a huge event for cybersecurity and cybertechnology-related ethics. It&apos;s been mentioned in several of my textbooks.
