  Stop leaving your extra set of keys where the family can find them. It’s the same as giving the toxic parents a spare house key for emergencies and then being surprised they take advantage of it. Glad OP found her backbone and self respect. You go girl!

  OP did the right thing by calling the police. The audacity of her parents is astounding. To the relatives who called OP to complain. They can buy OP’s sister a car and stop calling OP to complain.

  How was she supposed to get home not even the courtesy of sending a ride for her knowing they took her transportation left her stranded and they talk about family. Cut the toxicity out my heart goes out to her always doing things on her own without the help of so called  family

  She  needs to file a restraining/protection order against her parents and sister. She needs to completely and legally separate herself from that toxic family.

  Why wasn't her sister arrested that day? The police would have been told where she lived. Also, probation is isn't consequences. She should have had jail time.
